To celebrate two record releases on Sonic Pieces we´re very happy to host French ultra-minimal artist Sylvain Chauveau to perform in our store. This will also be Sylvain´s first ever solo performance in Berlin, believe it or not. Chauveau has been caving his way in the contemporary classical and minimal electro-acoustic scene since the early 2000s, parallel to artists such as Max Richter and Jóhann Jóhannson and released on labels such as Fat Cat, Type, Sub Rosa and Flau. His most recent album ultra-minimal just came out on Sonic Pieces next to a re-issue of his debut album Le livre noir du capitalisme. Sylvain is taking the trek all the way from Barcelona for a long weekend at mi - so, including an art opening and two concerts. This is a highly unique chance to catch him perform in town.

Sylvain will be performing minimal pieces from his last album on guitar and piano. Watch a video of him performing the composition "mi" taken from ultra-minimal.

We will be taking a minimum of 15€ donation for these concerts.
