NOVEMBER. 16, 2025 @ 16.30h (BOOKED)
Doors open half an hour before concert.
It´s our great honour to welcome British artist and composer Richard Skelton for two in-store concerts at mi - so in connection with his exhibition of collages entitled “Eschatology”, which opens the day before.
Richard has been working deeply within topics of folklore, myth, language & archaeology through the last 20 years, encompassic countless works of stunning music & art, mostly self-released in beautifully packaged small editions. Since 2009, alongside his work as a musician, Richard has also been a co-director of the publishing house Corbel Stone Press, with the Canadian poet Autumn Richardson. We are excited to host them both in our little space this November.
Erik met Richard briefly through Type Records back in 2008-2009, where they both released music, yet they have somehow not crossed path until now, even for a deep connection in musical aesthetics. Nonetheless, we have both been following Richard´s music and the dedication to his art, which feels very connected to our own path, and it seems like a perfect time to invite him for a small residency at mi - so.
His latest release “The Second Chamber” (2025) marks the 20th anniversary of Sustain-Release, the private press label through which he published a string of hermetic, landscape-oriented albums under a series of pseudonyms. We will offer a selection of his previous works on CD for the events.
