Porcelain

We have a small selection of Porcelain works by
our friend Deborah Metherell available in-store.

The pieces are made from porcelain, thrown on a pottery wheel, where traces of the throwing and making process are kept to become part of the final aesthetic of the objects. The glazes are plain, resonant of the idea of a blank canvas, where the viewer then searches for details or character within the glaze; or there is delicate mark-making which is then allowed to take on its own form during the firing and melting process.
